Safety information for CNG Customers

ATTENTION ALL CNG CUSTOMERS

The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a high-pressure gas for which specially designed and fabricated seamless cylinders manufactured in accordance with prescribed standard used in vehicles. Only the valid licensees/ retrofitters are authorized to convert vehicles to CNG at their respective facilities. The general public is, therefore, advised to use only the Brand New imported CNG vehicle cylinders in their vehicles certified by Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO)-Nagpur and The mounting of the CNG on-board cylinders shall conform to AIS: 028.

All vehicle owners are, therefore, informed for their own safety and interest that they should: -
 

1. Use only the approved brands, imported, seamless brand New CNG cylinders manufactured as per relevant standard and satisfy themselves about their genuineness and fitness before purchasing/ installing it from the authorized/ licensed retrofitters.
2. LPG, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Acetylene cylinders are not meant for CNG use. Never use these cylinders as they cannot withstand CNG pressure of 200 Bars and therefore will explode causing loss of life and property.
3. Never install CNG kit/ cylinder in the vehicle from any un-authorized road-side conversion workshop/ outlet.
4. Never install a cylinder which has been fabricated by joining two halves by means of male and female threads or welded as only seamless vehicle cylinders are used for CNG.
5. Never install a used cylinder which has been burnt/ damaged during riots or other terrorist activities. Such cylinder is weakened and may lead to serious accidents resulting in loss of precious lives.
6. Never ask for refueling beyond the allowable maximum pressure of 200 Bars under any circumstances. In case any CNG station is found dispensing CNG at excess pressure, it may be reported to Indraprastha Gas Ltd for strict action against the station to ensure public safety.
7. Cooperate with the CNG Station refueling staff for inspection of the vehicle cylinder at the time of refueling for your own as well as public safety.
8. Get CNG cylinder test certificate from the CNG licensee/Retrofitter after conversion of vehicle to CNG.
9. Do not smoke during refueling in the vehicle.
10. Ensure that the CNG cylinder installed in the vehicle is within the periodic test life, which is 03 years.

आम जनता एवम् सीएनजी उपभोक्ताओं के लिए सुरक्षा से संबंधित जानकारी

सीएनजी एक स्वच्छ और पर्यावरण अनुकूल ईंधन है, लेकिन यह बहुत ही उच्च दबाव पर भरी जाती है अतःसभी वाहन मालिकों से अनुरोध है कि किसी भी जोखिम से बचने के लिए विशेषकर अपनी एवं जनता की सुरक्षा को ध्यान मे रखते हुए निम्नलिखित बातों का अनुसरण करें:

1. संपीडित प्राकृतिक गैस (सीएनजी) के एक उच्च दाब गैस है जिसके लिए विशेष रूप से डिजाइन और निर्धारित मानको के अनुसार निर्मित सिलिंडर ही वाहनों के लिए उपयुक्त है. केवल वैध रेट्रोफिटर ही वाहनों को सीएनजी वाहनों में बदलने के लिए अधिकृत हैं. अपने वाहनों में पेट्रोलियम और विस्फोटक सुरक्षा संगठन (पेसो) नागपुर द्वारा प्रमाणित एकदम नए सीएनजी सिलेंडरों जो की AIS: 028 के अनूरूप फिट किए गये हो का ही उपयोग करें|
2. केवल निर्धारित मानको के अनुसार निर्मित सीएनजी सिलेंडरों का प्रयोग करें और उनकी खरीद और गाड़ी में फिट करने से पूर्व सिलेंडरों की प्रामाणिकता,असलियत और फिटनेस के बारे में अधिकृत रेट्रोफिटर से सभी ज़रूरी कागजात की जानकारी ले I
3. एल पी जी , आक्सीजन, नाइट्रोजन, एसिटिलीन सिलेंडरों सीएनजी इस्तेमाल के लिए नहीं होते हैं. कभी भी इन सिलेंडरों का उपयोग सीएनजी भरने के लिए नहीं करें और ऐसा करने से विस्फोट हो सकता है |
4. किसी भी अनाधिकृत रेट्रोफिटर / आउटलेट से वाहन में सीएनजी किट / सिलेंडर स्थापित ना करवाएँ |
5. कोई भी सिलेंडर जो की धातु के किन्ही भी दो टुकड़ो को जोड़कर ( वेलडिंग अथवा किसी भी विधि से जोड़े गये हो) सी एन जी भरने के लिए उपयुक्त नही है क्यूंकी सी एन जी सिलिंडर बिना किसी जोड़ वाली धातु की एक ही शीट /चादर से बना होता है |
6. कोई भी वाहन जो की दंगों या अन्य आतंकवादी गतिविधियों के दौरान जला/ क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया हो के सिलेंडर का उपयोग (गैस) भरवाने के लिए ना करें | इस तरह के सिलेंडर कमजोर होते है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप अनमोल जीवन का नुकसान और गंभीर दुर्घटनाएँ हो सकती है |
7. किसी भी परिस्थिति में नियत अधिकतम द्वाब 200 बार से अधिक में सीएनजी (गैस) सिलेंडर में ना भरवाएँ |
8. अपनी एवं आम जनता की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए सी एन जी स्टेशन में वाहन के सीएनजी (गैस) सिलेंडर के निरीक्षण के दौरान सी एन जी स्टेशन के कर्मचारियों का सहयोग करें |
9. सुनिश्चित करे वाहन में ईधन भरने के दौरान एल पी जी सिलेंडर, जलती हुई अगरबत्ती , धूप एवं कोई भी ज्वलनशील पदार्थ ना रखें हो |
10. वाह्न चालक सुनिश्चित करे की वाहन में ईधन भरने से पहले सभी सवारी/पैसेजर्/ यात्री स्टेशन परिसर के बाहर उतार दिए हो. 
11. सुनिश्चित करे की वाहन में ईधन भरने से पहले इंजन बंद कर दिया गया है
12. वाहन में ईधन भरने के दौरान चालक पैसेजर्/ यात्री धूम्रपान ना कर रहे हो
13. वाह्न चालक एवं वाह्न मलिक सुनिश्चित करें की वाह्न में सिलेंडर के परीक्षण प्रमाण पत्र उपलब्ध हैं एवं परीक्षण प्रमाण पत्र को जाँच के लिए माँगे जाने पर सी एन जी स्टेशन के कर्मचारियों को उपलब्ध कराएँ |
14. सुनिश्चित करें कि वाहन में स्थापित सीएनजी सिलेंडर अपनी परीक्षण अवधि के भीतर है,
15. अगर वाह्न में स्थापित सीएनजी सिलेंडर की परीक्षण अवधि ०३ वर्ष(साल) समाप्त होने वाली हो या हो चुकी हो तो आप निम्न पते तुरंत संपर्क करें और अपने सिलेंडर को दोबारा परीक्षण करवाएँ :
